Evenflo Response to Consumer Reports March 20, 2007 Article
On behalf of the entire Evenflo family of employees and customers, I want to commend and recognize Consumer Reports for the action they have taken today in withdrawing the not acceptable rating and request for a recall of our Discovery® infant car seat. After conducting a new round of tests, Consumer Reports confirmed that the Discovery meets the federal government crash test safety standard for infant car seats.

The new Consumer Reports results, which are consistent with Evenflo and NHTSA testing results, serve to reassure parents about the safety and performance of their Discovery car seat.

Our number one priority is safety -- since the initial Consumer Reports article appeared (January 2007), we have worked in cooperation with Consumers Union and NHTSA to review data and testing protocols. As we expected, the final test results from Consumer Reports validate the Discovery's safety.

Consumer Reports serves a very important public service – parents stay informed about the safety of the products they use.
