- ABC’s “American Inventor” announced today that it has partnered with Evenflo Company, Inc. to further develop the program’s winning invention, the Anecia Survival Capsule. Evenflo®, an industry leader in child car seats, will work with inventor Janusz Liberkowski to help make the car seat a reality.
The Anecia Survival Capsule is a new prototype infant car seat where baby sits inside nested spheres. In a collision, the spheres spin and shield the baby from the destructive force of the impact.
"Evenflo is committed to innovation, safety and consumer education," said Rob Matteucci, CEO of Evenflo Company, Inc. “This is an opportunity for possible safety advancements in an important product category. We’re proud to partner with “American Inventor” to lend our expertise and help take Mr. Liberkowski’s Anecia Survival Capsule to the next level.”
Evenflo, at the forefront of car seat innovation, will take the lead on the continued development and engineering of the prototype. The goal is to take the safety seat through a rigorous development and testing process to improve the original concept.
“The journey to further develop Mr. Liberkowski’s invention will be an exciting one,” said Matteucci. “His passion and vision for child safety align with our commitment to deliver products that are best for baby.”
Evenflo is deeply committed to assuring the safety and quality of its products. All Evenflo car seats undergo extensive analysis and rigorous testing that meets or exceeds all current U.S. Federal Safety Standards for motor vehicles. The same developmental process will be applied to the Anecia Survival Capsule.
Evenflo has been manufacturing top quality car seats for more than 40 years. Evenflo currently offers a complete line of car seats that grow with baby and meet a range of weight and age requirements. The line includes infant car seats, convertible car seats, and booster car seats.
