MIAMISBURG, OH (September 2008) – In what will be music to every mom’s ears, Evenflo is announcing the launch of Symphony, the company’s first all-in-one car seat that will adapt through all stages of a child’s growth. In concert with the company’s mission of providing safe, easy-to-use products, Symphony features Evenflo’s new SureLatch technology, the latest innovation born from Evenflo’s commitment to “Safety Made Easier.” Exclusive to Evenflo, SureLatch is a new technology that makes installing a car seat correctly easier than ever using LATCH, Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children. The SureLatch system consists of two connectors that are used with a vehicle’s LATCH system. With a simple “Click, Click, Push”, moms get a safe and snug installation to the vehicle in a fraction of the time of a traditional seat. Since September 1, 2002, all automobile manufacturers are required to install two sets of small anchors in the rear seat of all vehicles, generally located where the vehicle seat cushion meets the seat back. In addition, an anchor at the top of the seat serves as a top tether. Together, the lower anchorages and the top tether anchorage make up the LATCH system.
