This checklist is not intended to replace your car seat instruction manual. You must read the instruction manuals for your car seat and your vehicle before using the car seat.
5-Point Harness Installation Checklist
Child Requirements
Weight: 20 – 65 lbs
Maximum Height: 29 – 50 inches tall AND the top of the child’s ears are at
or below the child restraint seat back.
Age: At least 1 year old.

5-pt child restraint for children who weigh 20 – 65 lbs AND are at least one year old. |

IMPORTANT: Use vehicle belt (not LATCH connectors) for internal harness installations with children weighing more than 48 lbs.
Note: Some vehicle manufacturers have lower maximum weight ratings for LATCH anchors, so you must consult your vehicle owner’s manual or call the vehicle manufacturer to confirm the limits on your vehicle’s LATCH anchors. |

Top of child’s ears MUST be below the top of the child restraint seat back. |
| 3. |
Shoulder harness straps MUST start at or above the shoulders. |
| 4. |
Headrest is located to the closest position above the harness slots in use. |
| 5. |
Child restraint can not move more than 1 inch from side-to-side at the belt path. |
| 6. |
Locking clip is installed for shoulder and lap belts, if needed. |
| 7. |
Buckle tongues are fully engaged. |
| 8. |
Chest clip is fastened and at armpit level. |
| 9. |
The harness MUST be on the child’s shoulders and snug with no more than two finger-widths of space between the child and the harness strap. |
