This checklist is not intended to replace your car seat instruction manual. You must read the instruction manuals for your car seat and your vehicle before using the car seat.
Checklist for Rear-facing Child Restraint
Child Requirements

Child restraint for children who weigh 5 – 35 lbs. |

IMPORTANT: This child restraint is designed for use ONLY in the rear-facing position. NEVER use this child restraint in a forward-facing position. |

Top of the child's head is at least 1 inch below the top of the child restraint seat back. |
| 3. |
Installation without the convenience base can be secured with the vehicle seat belt. The shoulder strap portion of the seat belt is lying across the vehicle seat back. |
| 4. |
Locking clip is installed for shoulder and lap belts, if needed. |
| 5. |
Shoulder harness straps MUST be at, or slightly below, shoulder level with no more than two finger-widths from the child. |
| 6. |
Buckle tongues are fully engaged. |
| 7. |
Chest clip is fastened and at armpit level. |
| 8. |
To properly secure this child restraint, it MUST NOT move more than 1 inch from side-to-side or from front-to-back at the rear-facing belt path. |
| 9. |
The level indicator MUST be level with the ground. |
