Celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd

Did you know that Earth Day has been celebrated for over 50 years? EARTHDAY.ORG is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that first started this environmental movement in 1970. “Since then, Earth Day has evolved into the largest civic event on Earth, activating billions across 192 countries to safeguard our planet and fight for a brighter future,” EARTHDAY.ORG.

In celebration of Earth Week 2024, Evenflo is encouraging customers to make an impact with their purchases at Evenflo.com through April 27, 2024 — by rounding up at checkout to benefit an eco-friendly charity, your pennies have real power. We’ll combine those pennies into a donation to the Surfrider Foundation, an organization that is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network.

While donations are a great way to help the cause, there are many other ways to teach your little ones eco-friendly habits. Here are a few simple ways you can celebrate Earth Week together this year:

  • Plant a tree or start a garden. This is a great way to teach kids about the importance of plants and how they contribute to a healthy ecosystem.
  • Take a nature walk. Explore your local park or nature reserve with your kiddos and encourage them to observe the plants and animals they see along the way.
  • Make a recycling sorting game. Find different recyclable materials around your house (paper, cans, cardboard, etc.) and turn recycling into a game! This is a fun and easy way to teach them about the importance of waste reduction.
  • Use less water. Challenge your kids to take shorter showers or turn off the faucet when brushing their teeth — this helps to conserve water!
  • Make eco-friendly crafts. Use recycled materials to create fun and creative crafts with your kids. This is a great way to teach your children about the importance of reusing materials.

At Evenflo, we envision a brighter future. A future that is safe for our kids to play outdoors and thrive in the nature that surrounds them. A future that is driven by positive change. We recognize that small efforts lead to bigger results — one product, one practice and one innovation at a time. Our journey towards sustainability is continuous and ongoing, as we take steps to help future generations live in a cleaner, safer and more empowering world.

Currently, we are pioneering a line of Green & Gentle™ gear, featuring fabric that is soft, eco-friendly, free of added chemicals and flame retardants and manufactured using recycled plastic bottles. Our Revolve360™ Extend All-in-One Rotational Car Seat with Green & Gentle™ Fabric and Revolve360™ Slim 2-in-1 Rotational Car Seat with Green & Gentle™ Fabric are the first available from this new collection. We hope to soon expand Green & Gentle™ gear to our bestselling strollers and travel systems.

Earth Week is a great opportunity to get involved within your community and find ways to encourage sustainability. Taking small steps like using a reusable water bottle, recycling at your home and planting a garden are all ways that you can make a difference. April is also National Volunteer Month! At Evenflo, we will be participating in volunteer opportunities that focus on sustainability. For more information on Earth Day 2024, visit EARTHDAY.ORG.
