Here’s something you can feel good about this Earth Day...

First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day is an annual movement focused on the environmental crisis. Over 1 billion people mobilize annually on April 22nd to help protect our planet. "The theme for Earth Day 2025 is Our Power, Our Planet, inviting everyone around the globe to unite behind renewable energy, and to triple the global generation of clean electricity by 2030," (EarthDay.org).

With our collection of gear featuring Green & Gentle™ Fabric, every day is Earth Day at Evenflo®! Our Green & Gentle Fabric is soft-to-the-touch, sustainable and eco-friendly. It's made with recycled plastic bottles and is free of added chemicals and flame retardants. Gentle on baby, gentle on Earth!

You may be wondering, how many recycled plastic bottles go into making fabric? Well, let's start from the beginning. The process looks a little something like this:

And, the finished product looks something like this!

From car seats to travel systems and more, Green & Gentle Fabric is available on a number of our products — with more coming soon!

Here are some other Green & Gentle facts to feel good about:
•    Green & Gentle Fabric has a shorter life span, allowing it to decompose in the landfill (in about half the time when compared to regular fabric).
•    Our Green & Gentle products are GreenGuard Gold Certified.
•    Our Green & Gentle Fabric passes highway flammability regulations without the use of flame retardant chemicals

Looking for more ways to celebrate Earth Day this year? Taking the time to teach your little ones about the environment and conservation is a great place to start!
1.    Plant trees or flowers
Organize a small planting day where your kids can plant trees, shrubs or flowers in your garden or in a community space. Teach them about the importance of plants for the ecosystem. It’s also a great way to help out pollinators!
2.    Craft with recyclables
Gather recyclable materials and challenge your kiddos to create art or functional items. They can make bird feeders, planters, or sculptures, turning “trash” into treasures while learning about recycling.
3.    Take a nature walk
Set out on a nature adventure together! Have your kids bring journals to write or draw     what they see. This will help them connect with nature and appreciate its beauty.     Download an app on your phone ahead of time that identifies plant species.

This Earth Day, take some time to learn more about our Green & Gentle fabric. Enjoy the time spent with your kids in nature and lead by example. Our children are the future and learning about the environment from an early age can make all the difference!
