REO™ Car Seat Voluntary Safety Recall

At Evenflo®, the safety and well-being of children and families is our highest priority. Consistent with that commitment, we are announcing a voluntary recall of the REO™ car seat models sold in the United States and Canada due to a condition identified during recent post-production laboratory testing.

Affected models begin with model number CS26021 and were sold in the United States and Canada between March 2025 and the present. This recall does NOT affect any other Evenflo car seat, including the Revolve180, Revolve360, Revolve360 Extend, or Revolve360 Slim models

During testing in the forward-facing configuration, we determined that when the headrest is adjusted to its two highest positions (positions 10 and 11 in forward-facing mode and position 11 in rear-facing mode), the headrest may change position under certain conditions. This condition does not affect the safety of the car seat when the headrest is adjusted to positions 1 through 9 in forward-facing mode and positions 1 through 10 in rear-facing mode. No injuries have been reported related to this condition.

We are working to implement a remedy as quickly as possible. Until the remedy is available, parents and caregivers may continue using affected REO™ car seats when the headrest is adjusted to positions 1 through 10 in rear-facing mode or positions 1 through 9 in forward-facing mode. We will notify registered owners as soon as the free remedy is available and provide instructions for obtaining it.

We recognize that trust is earned through transparency and action, and we are committed to keeping families informed every step of the way. For more information or assistance, please visit https://www.evenflo.com/pages/parentlink-resource-center or contact our ParentLink® Consumer Care team at 1-800-233-5921 (U.S.) or 1-800-265-0749 (Canada), Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. You can also email parentlink@evenflo.com.

Understanding the Recall:

During recent post-production laboratory testing, a condition was observed in which the headrest may change position when the seat is used in the two highest positions (positions 10 and 11 in forward-facing mode and position 11 in rear-facing mode). This condition does not affect the safety or structural integrity of the car seat when the headrest is adjusted to positions 1 through 9 in forward-facing mode or positions 1 through 10 in rear-facing mode. No injuries have been reported related to this condition.

How to Locate Your Model Number:

If you’re unsure, you can quickly check your model number on the product label located on the back of the car seat shell. Raise the headrest and rotate the car seat to a side-facing position, and you will find the white label with the date of manufacture and model number on the back of the headrest. You can also reach out to the ParentLink® Consumer Care team for additional assistance.

What You Should Do if Your Product was Affected:

Recalled models may continue to be used in forward-facing or rear-facing configurations in headrest positions numbered 1 through 9 in forward-facing mode and 1 through 10 in rear-facing mode.

If your child is tall enough to require use in position 10 or 11 (forward-facing) or 11 (rear-facing), you may contact our ParentLink® Consumer Care team by calling 1-800-233-5921 (US) or 1-800-265-0749 (Canada), Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM EST. You can also email parentlink@evenflo.com. We’re here to support you and answer your questions.

Do Not Return Your Car Seat. If you have additional questions about how this recall impacts your family’s use of this car seat, please reach out to our ParentLink® Consumer Care team.

If you have not already done so, we encourage you to register your car seat so we can quickly share important safety information and notify you directly when the free remedy becomes available. To register your Evenflo car seat, please visit:

United States: https://registration.evenflo.com/evenflo/us/carseats

Canada: https://registration.evenflo.com/en-ca/evenflo/ca/carseats

How to Identify Your Current Headrest Position:

The headrest positions on the REO are numbered on the car seat shell. Lift the seatback pad on your car seat and look at the plastic shell. The headrest positions are numbered 1-11 on either side of the headrest adjustment panel. There are arrows on either side of the headrest panel which will align with the headrest position in use. If your child is using positions 1-9 in forward-facing mode or 1-10 in rear-facing mode you may continue to use your seat as normal.

What to Expect Next:

Evenflo is actively developing a correction for affected REO™ car seats.  In the meantime, affected car seats may continue to be used in forward-facing or rear-facing mode with the headrest adjusted only to positions 1 through 9 in forward-facing mode (1 through 10 in rear-facing mode). Registered owners will be notified as soon as the free remedy is available, along with instructions on how to obtain it.
